Stocks down in morning trade

Indices of the Dhaka Stock Exchange dropped points in early trading today, breaking the five-day rally.
The DSEX, the premier bourse, lost 9.10 points, or 0.18 percent, to 4,830.67 as of 11:20 am.
The Shariah-compliant DSES index declined 0.22 percent to 1,059.07, while the DS30, which represents blue-chip stocks, was down 0.24 percent to 1,812.14.
Turnover, a key indicator of market activity, stood at Tk 135.29 crore during the session.
Of the issues traded, 105 advanced, 197 declined, and 79 remained unchanged.
Islami Bank Bangladesh posted the highest gain, rising 8 percent, while Index Agro Industries posted the biggest loss, dropping 8 percent.
