Bhandaria robbery, six arrested

Police arrested six people in Bhandaria and neighbouring Matbaria uapzila on Wendesday in connection with Tuesday's robbery.They arrestees are Jahangir Hawlader, Qamrul Mridha, Sohag Mridha, Sakhawat Mridha, Kuddus Sardar and Badal Mridha. A gang of bandits looted 11 shops at Bandar Bazar,the headquarters of Bhadaria Upazila,and got away with valuables worth Tk1.5 crore in the early hours of Tuesday. Police have set up a camp at Bhandaria port to ensure the security of people of the area.
