Additional District and Sessions Judge of Nilphamari Md Mokhlesur Rahman sentenced Santosh Roy,16, son of Kamal Kanto Roy of Zorabari village under Domar upazila for killing a Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinee in 2001.

Santosh gave false promises to SSC examinee Sushanto Roy to supply him important question papers of the ensuing SSC examination in 2001. He claimed to have managed somehow the question papers. For this reason he took Tk 4,000 from Sushanto. But Santosh could not supply him any question paper. As a result there arose a conflict between them. At one stage Sushanto went missing. Two days later his dead body was found from the bank of the river Dewnai on October 29.
