Anwar-ul-Alam new envoy to Spain

The government yesterday appointed Additional Foreign Secretary Anwar-ul-Alam, as new ambassador of Bangladesh to Madrid, capital of Spain. Alam will replace Shahed Akhtar who has been transferred to Bangkok as new envoy to Thailand. The existing Bangladesh ambassador to Thailand Hemayet Uddin will take charge as new High Commi-ssioner in New Delhi. The Bangladesh High Commi-ssioner in New Delhi Tofail K Haider is returning home as his contract expired recently.
