Outlaw beaten to death in Kushtia

A cadre of the outlawed Jashod Gono Bahini was killed in a mob beating at village Ailchara in sadar upazila in the district yesterday.The victim was identified as Asan Ali, 38, son of Ahmed Ali. Police said Asan, who was engaged in various criminal activities including murder, rape, and extortion, was caught by the mob at about 4.00pm when he was siting alone at a tea stall of the village. The angry mob chased and caught him at Ballavpur field and beat him mercilessly in the presence of at least 200 people. On information, sadar police rushed to the spot and recovered Asan in a critical condition. He was sent to Kushtia General Hospital where the doctors declared him dead.
