New MD of Agrani Bank
Syed Abu Naser Bukhtear Ahmed joined Agrani Bank as its managing director and chief executive officer (CEO) on Saturday. Prior to joining Agrani Bank, he was the president and managing director of Southeast Bank Limited, says a press release. Bukhtear started his banking career at the State Bank of Pakistan in Karachi in 1970. In 1974, he joined erstwhile United Arab Emirates Currency Board, presently UAE Central Bank. He was executive vice-president of Arab Bangladesh Bank from October 1995 to April 1999.
