A youth festival wound up in Rajshahi recently. Thousands of young people, along with the mayor, MPs, sportsmen, journalists and other professionals, took a collective vow to build the Bangladesh of their dreams.

This function was jointly arranged by the International Republican Institute and CCD Bangladesh at the Rajshahi Divisional Stadium. The second day of the festival began with Pot Gaan, Gomvira and a talk show, says a press release.

Journalist Naimul Islam Khan, chairperson of Mass Communication Department of Rajshahi University, Professor Dulal Chandra Biswas, journalists of local and national newspapers, took part in a talk show, titled Unknown Takes of Journalism.

Other features of the Democracy Pavilion were games, an election campaign competition and letter writing. In addition, publications, handicrafts and documentary films were exhibited in the stalls of local and international development organisations.

The festival attracted 6,000 students, teachers, guardians and invited guests from the schools, colleges and universities of Rajshahi. Through a variety of programmes, thousands of young people were sensitised on the need to reorient their lives and careers so that the nation can develop and prosper.
