Special TV programmes on Tagore death anniversary

August 6 marks the 65th death anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore. To observe the occasion different TV channels will air plays, tele-films, feature films, musical programmes and more. A rundown of the programmes to be aired on the day:ATN Bangla
Aji Bangladesher Hridoy Hotey: Arup Ratan Chowdhury's solo musical programme, will be aired at 12:15pm. Aji Bijonghorey: Special musical programme will be aired at 1:30pm. Popular artistes Alam Ara Minu, Sajed Akber, Salma Akber and others will take part in the programme. Shono Tar Shudhabani: A special talk show on Tagore scheduled to be telecast at 2:30pm. Aly Zaker, Rezwana Chowdhury Bannya and Dr Razib Humayun will participate in the programme. Bulbul Mohlanabish hosts the programme. Shomapti: A telefilm based on Tagore's short story will be aired at 3:10pm. Directed by Tanvir Hossain Probal, the film features Dihan, Badrul Alam Saud, Taru Mustafa, Shirin Alam and others. Shapmochon: Produced by Moin al Helal, the musical will be aired at 3:00 pm. Sadi Mohammad, Lily Islam, Swapan Dutt, Shama Ali, Tapan Bhattacharya, Daisy Ahmed and others render songs for the play. Mrityu-bhabnaye Rabindranath: The programme will feature some of Rabindranath's songs highlighting his thoughts on 'death. Mahbuba Kamal, Papia Sarwar, Sadi Mohammad and Lily Islam will renders the songs. The programme will be aired at 7:00 pm. Noshto Neer: Scripted and directed by Arun Chowdhury, the play, featuring Azizul Hakim, Tisha, Shoeb, Dihan and others, will be aired at 8:15 pm. Kobita-e Rabindranath:Produced by Towhid Haider and hosted by Bhaswar Bannerjee, the programme, featuring discussion and recitation of Tagore's poems by Keya Chowdhury, Shimul Mustafa and Fahim Chowdhury, will be aired at 5:15 pm. ntv
Shishu Tirtho: Special programme for children is scheduled to be telecast at 10:05am. Noted author Selina Hossain will be the guest in the programme. Praney Amar Esho Hey: Programme featuring Tagore songs will be aired at 12:05pm. Papia Sarwar, Sadi Mohammad, Tapon Mahmud, Rukaiya Hasina Nila and Rezwana Chowdhury Banya will perform in the show. Tumi Ki Keboli Chhobi: Special talk show on female characters in Tagore's work, is scheduled to air at 12:30pm. Rabindranather Shesher Lekha: Programme highlighting Tagore's last works will be aired at 2:30pm.
