Vendor murdered in Khulna

A trader was stabbed to death allegedly by his friend at Tutpara in the city early yesterday.The deceased was identified as Mintu Sheikh, 35, a chicken vendor. Police said Mintu's friend and neighbour Al Amin invited him to stay in his house at night on Sunday. He stayed in Amin's house at night. "But, suddenly, Mintu's wife and brother-in-law heard screams of Mintu at about 4:00am and rushed in. They found Mintu stabbed and in critical condition," says a family account of the murder. Mintu was rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital where the doctors declared him dead. A case was filed with police. Amin was taken into police custody for interrogation.
