“My daughter and I love Nandos…”
Popular actor Sushama Sarker began her career in theatre and was affiliated with the troupe Desh Natok for a long time. She has ventured into the small screen since, and is now making waves in films. The Daily Star reached out to the busy actor for a conversation about her life beyond the camera.
What is your idea of the perfect weekend?
Sushama: When I do have that rare time off, I love to stay home and watch movies with my family. I love going on trips out of town as well.
What are you currently working on?
Sushama: I am mostly busy with movies these days. I have recently worked on “Boss 2” which will be released this Eid. I have also wrapped up shooting for “Peyara'r Shubash” directed by Nurul Alam Atique, and it is slated to be released later this year. Right now I am working on Bulbul Jilani's “Rodru'r Chhaya”, which may be released this year or the next. Other than films, I am also working on a few Eid plays directed by Shihab Shaheen and Abu Hayat Mahmud, but I can't divulge the titles yet.
What is your favourite restaurant?
Sushama: I don't really get to eat out often, but my daughter and I love Nando's. I also love Gloria Jeans and Beans and Aroma.
Do you have a signature scent?
Sushama: I usually opt for the perfumes from Victoria's Secret.
