Litmosphere’s website launches
Members of Litmosphere, an online book club that provides people a platform to share their viewpoints on books and much more, have launched their official website, in honour of the club’s third founding anniversary in August. Litmosphere is the first ever book club in Bangladesh to have their own website. “I am really emotional and overwhelmed at the moment,” says Rubaiya Tasnim Chowdhury, the founder of Litmosphere.
"I started Litmosphere because I was going through a reading slump, and I was not sure where I wanted to take it. Seeing the club accomplish so much in just three years has been incredible.” Litmosphere also recently launched their own merchandise, primarily notebooks and bookmarks. They also offer membership cards, through which people can avail special discounts and offers from stores that the club has partnerships with. People can place orders for the merchandise and register for membership cards directly from the website. Litmosphere also hosts theme-based ‘Book of the Month’ meet ups monthly at Dhaka, Chattogram, Sylhet and Rajshahi. All information related to the meet ups will be available on the website as well. As of now, many other segments of the website are still under construction. Moving forward, the team of Litmosphere hopes to make the website a more dynamic and interactive forum. They also hope to host literary and cultural discussions on a wide range of topics. “I am grateful to Wadia Chowdhury, the Sylhet representative of Litmosphere the designer, Rohan Raihan and their team, who have created the website from scratch, entirely free of cost, for us. I would also like to appreciate the admin panel of Litmosphere, who continue to work tirelessly to take the club to greater heights,” adds Rubaiya.
