Bishwo Shahitto Kendro organises mobile book fair
Bishwo Shahitto Kendro started a mobile book fair with the slogan, `Buy books, read books, be enlightened’, in 2017. The organisation delivers books to readers of different districts across Bangladesh. This year, the four-day fair was held at Manikganj Government High School. It was organised in collaboration with IFIC Bank.
Md Abu Bakar Siddik Mollah, an associate professor of Manikganj Government Women’s College, attended the fair.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. According to Daloar Hossain, Senior In-Charge of the mobile book fair, around 1,061 books, published by local and foreign publishers and written by renowned authors, were sold in the fair.
The Ministry of Cultural Affairs provides transportation services to Bishwo Shahitto Kendro to run the mobile book fair. So far, the organisation has held 104 mobile book fairs in 57 districts.
