Bangladesh Border Guard today increased their deployment to 1,127 platoons a day ahead of the 11th parliamentary polls.

The BGB’s Public Relations Officer Mohsin Reza confirmed the matter to The Daily Star.

Previously, 1016 BGB platoons were deployed, which was increased today.

Security was stepped up further yesterday in the capital and elsewhere following a spate of violence during the 17-day electioneering that ended yesterday morning.
