Awami League has given 40 to 42 seats to its key alliance partner HM Ershad-led Jatiya Party (JP) out of 300 constituencies to contest the upcoming general election.
AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader came up with the announcement at the party President Sheikh Hasina’s Dhanmondi office in Dhaka this noon.
Among the rest constituencies, three were finalised for Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh (BDB) and as many as for Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD-Inu), two for Jatiya Party (Manju), two for Bangladesh Tariqat Federation and one for Ambia-led JSD.
