AL office vandalised in Moulvibazar

An election campaign office of Awami League has been vandalised allegedly by 'BNP men' in Kulaura upazila of Moulvibazar.

About 200 activists of BNP brought out a rally in Dulipara village around 8:30pm and reportedly attack the election campaign office of the ruling Awami League, our correspondent reports quoting locals and police.

At least ten people were also injured at that time, Shameem Musa, officer-in-charge of Kulaura Police Station, told The Daily Star.

The injured were taken to Kulaura Health Complex, the police official said, adding that the conditions of three of them are stated to be critical.

Contacted, former Jubo League president of Kulaura upazila unit Bodrul Islam said Jamaat and BNP activists carried out the pre-planned attack to hinder the electoral atmosphere in the upazila.

Meanwhile, Kulaura BNP President Kamal Uddin Junaed denied the allegation and said such allegations against BNP are brought to harass the BNP activists.
