The motorcade of BNP candidate for Manikganj-2 came under attack today, the second day of the military vigilance dispatched to curb violence.

Our local correspondent reports, local Awami League activists interrupted his campaign in Harirampur upazila and vandalised at least four vehicles.

"I have been facing such difficulties for a while now. Police and the returning officer have not taken any action after I complained", said the candidate Moinul Islam Khan Shanto.

Meanwhile, in Natore’s Baraigram upazila, BNP and Awami League supporters clashed at Merigachha area at 11:30am, our local correspondent reports.

Both the parties hurled brick bats to each other, but no one was injured, said BNP candidate of Natore-4 constituency Md Abdul Aziz while talking to The Daily Star.

On the other hand, AL candidate Md Abdul Kuddus said, he does not know anything about the incident.
