Urging voters to come at polling centres on election day, BNP has called voters to vote for the freedom of its chairperson Khaleda Zia.
“Your one vote can ensure safe and peaceful Bangladesh. The vote also can free Khaleda Zia from jail,” BNP’s Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said.
Speaking at a press briefing at Nayapaltan, the BNP leader urged voters not to leave polling centres until the results to avert attempts of vote rigging.
“This election is a challenge for country’s people to protect democracy,” he said. “You come to vote centres ignoring all intimidation and make a vote revolution.”
Rizvi also urged voters to guard polling centres in a bid to take ownership of the country.
He said the law enforcers have got time to take right decision whatever they earlier done by the government pressure.
Towards the law enforcers, Rizvi said: “Assist the arrangement of holding a free and fair election considering the people’s welfare.”
