ATJFB celebrates 11th founding anniversary
Aviation and Tourism Journalists' Forum of Bangladesh (ATJFB), the lone platform of aviation and tourism reporters in the country, today celebrated its 11th founding anniversary coinciding with World Tourism Day.
Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury took part in the celebration by cutting a cake while she was inaugurating the first ever 'Bangladesh Festival' at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in the capital.
Cabinet Secretary Md Mahbub Hossain, Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary Mokammel Hossain and Bangladesh Tourism Board (BTB) CEO Abu Taher Muhammad Jaber were present along with ATJFB's members including its President Md Tanzim Anwar.
Anwar said ATJFB would maintain its continuous efforts to contribute to the country's aviation and tourism sectors through objective reporting as well as building capacity of the reporters.
ATJFB will hold a seminar on the role of media in the development of aviation and tourism on September 30, the last day of the festival.
World Tourism Day 2023 is being observed as a four-day "Bangladesh Festival", which kicked off today designed to shine a spotlight on the nation's tourism products, services and delectable cuisine.
The Bangladesh Tourism Board (BTB) is hosting the event at the BICC.
