Emirates sweeps 9 awards at Monitor Airline of the Year
Emirates has been awarded the "Airline of the Year 2023" in Bangladesh in the "ShareTrip Monitor Airline of the Year 2023" award ceremony in recognition of its award-winning products and services at InterContinental Dhaka recently.
The Dubai-based airline won a total of five gold, two silver and two Bronze awards in various categories, the airline said in a press release.
Jaber Mohamed, area manager for Bangladesh at Emirates, and other officials of the airline received awards from M Mahbub Ali, state minister for civil aviation and tourism, at the award ceremony.
The airline has won the "Airline of the Year' four times in a row and eighth time during the 10th editions of the Monitor Airline of the Year since 2007.
Emirates also won gold awards for "Best Business Class", "Best In-flight Entertainment", "Best Long-haul Airline" and "Best Loyalty Programme".
The airline also received Silver awards for "Best Economy Class" and "Best Meal in Business Class", while Bronze Awards were presented to Emirates for "Best Inflight Meal in Economy Class" and "Cargo Airline of the Year 2023".
The Bangladesh Monitor, an aviation and tourism publication of the country, organised "Monitor Airline of the Year" and awarded the airlines working in Bangladesh and related organisations of the aviation and tourism sectors based on the opinions of frequent flyers.
The opinion poll is verified, compiled and analysed by a third party as per criteria set by the organisers, and results are reviewed by a panel of judges to select the winners.
Among others, Air Vice Marshal M Mafidur Rahman, chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, was present.
