3 held over 'spreading anti-state rumour'

Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) today claimed to have arrested three persons for their alleged involvement in spreading “anti-state rumour” in social media.

The identities of the trio could not be known immediately.

They were arrested from Dhaka's Shyamoli area last night, according to an SMS sent by the Rab.

"They were involved in disseminating anti-state rumour on social media platforms especially Facebook," according to the SMS.
