5yr-old girl raped in Cox’s Bazar

A five-year-old child has been ‘raped’ at Dulahazara union of Chakoria upazila in Cox’s Bazar.

The child has been admitted to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital in a critical condition, Nurul Amin, chairman of Dulahazara union, told our correspondent.

The victim’s mother alleged that their neighbour Rahim Uddin, 20, son of Akhter Ahmed raped the girl yesterday.

Rahim has been absconding since the incident. The law enforcers are trying to arrest the culprit, Bakhtiar Uddin Chowdhury, officer-in-charge of Chakaria Police Station, told The Daily Star.
