PDB generates record 15,604MW electricity

The country has generated a record 15,604 megawatts of electricity as of 9:00pm tonight.

The production broke the previous record of 14,304MW generated on April 13, according to Bangladesh Power Development Board.

PDB spokesperson Shameem Hasan confirmed it to The Daily Star.

The record power generation comes as demand for electricity soared due to rising temperatures across the country, according to PDB officials.
