Brazilians to get £750,000 bonus for win

With Brazil among the favourites of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the whopping bonus each player would earn if the Selecao win the showpiece has now reportedly been revealed.

The Selecao will play their first preparation game on Sunday against Croatia at Anfield, before facing Austria on 10 June. At the tournament in Russia, they spearhead Group E alongside Switzerland, Serbia and Costa Rica.

Brazil are the most successful nation in World Cup history, having lifted the famous trophy in 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 and 2002.

If they were to be crowned champions again, Tite's players and members of the coaching team would each receive a whopping £750,000 according to Brazil outlet Folha de Sao Paulo, as cited by Sport.

The Brazilian Football Confederation was keen to solve any bonus debate before the team heads off to Russia, in order to avoid a situation like the one in 1990, when bonuses were still being discussed hours before the Selecao lost to Argentina in the round of 16.
