"Messi does not have any substitute here, in Barcelona or anywhere in the world. So obviously I think we could work together"
Argentina player Paulo Dybala
Paulo Dybala said that he believes he is ready to feature for Argentina and play beside 'the best player in the world' Lionel Messi. Dybala was left on the bench as Argentina were held 1-1against Iceland in their opening match.
Argentine coach Jorge Sampaoli had previously said that 'the duo were not yet ready to play together.' But Dybala thinks they need to find a way to work together.
Dybala has featured as a right sided forward for Juventus and is used to playing that role. However, he has frequently been left out of the side because he likes to play in similar zones where Messi plays.
"Messi does not have any substitute here, in Barcelona or anywhere in the world. So obviously I think we could work together," he told a news conference on Tuesday.
"We need to figure out how I would fit on the team because, as you said, I used to play in the same position he plays and lately I have been used to playing in that position.
“But obviously I think we must work together."
