‘I want to win the World Cup, Ballon d’or isn’t my problem’

France are now only one step away from the World Cup trophy and Kylian Mbappe said that he could not have been imagined that France would make it to the final even in his wildest dreams.  The French forward, at just the age of 19 is being considered as a contender for the coveted Ballon d’or but he reiterated that individual award does not interest him as his eyes are set on winning the ultimate prize – the World Cup.

“Even in my wildest dreams I didn't imagine this,” The 19-year-old explained in his post-match press conference as per Marca.

“I'm a dreamer and this is the dream of a lifetime.There is still one more step to take, but we're proud of what we've done.” the Paris Saint-Germain wonder kid added.

The French president Emmanuel Macron enjoyed the match and he went to France’s dressing room to celebrate with the players and staffs after the match. The presidentgave a triumphant thumbs-up in the stadium after Samuel Umtitihad given France a 1-0 lead.

“In the changing room, [coach] Didier Deschamps was happy. We were all happy, all hugging, President Emmanuel Macron came to see us in the dressing room.The whole country is with us. We're all in this together.” The sensational forward added.

“Not skipping the hard work and fighting for the group is one of my qualities -- if I can help by running or shouting, then I will do it said. I want to win the World Cup -- the Ballon d'Or is not my problem.” he concluded.

Mbappe, who has scored three goals so far, has been in blistering form as his pace has caught most opponents off-guard in the Russia World Cup.
