22 hospitalised with dengue
As soon as the monsoon starts, the number of dengue patients goes up at city hospitals. Recently, healthcare facilities are reporting an increase of such cases. The photo was taken at a ward in Mugda General Hospital yesterday.

At least 22 dengue patients were hospitalised in different hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours till 8:00am yesterday.
With the 22 new cases, the total number of dengue patients rose to 629, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. Among the patients, 69 are still undergoing treatment. Of them, three are from outside Dhaka.
A total of 560 patients so far have been released from hospitals and there is no report of death so far, according to the DGHS.
Warning the two city corporations of a major outbreak of dengue virus this year compared to the last couple of years, experts suggested that the corporations take extensive measures immediately to control the Aedes mosquitoes.
