Chittagong or Dhaka?

The Kiwi batsman Ross Taylor talked to the reporters about the fighting spirit of the Bangladesh players and fans in the post-match conference after their two-wicket nail biting win over the Tigers.  

Even though the Kiwis won with 17 balls to spare, the victory was hard achieved. There were moments during the match when the game seemed to be at either's hand. Taylor scored 82 off 91 balls before being caught down the leg side by Mushfiqur off off-spinner Mosaddek Hossain. After the fall of the experienced Taylor, it looked like the Bangladesh side might actually have a chance at winning. The Bangladesh fans all over the world were at their toes, especially the ones in the stadium, who were cheering each dot ball.

"You've got to give credit to Bangladesh. They just never gave up. They fought all the way to the end and I think the way the crowd got into it, I thought at times while we were out there, I thought I was in Chittagong or Dhaka. It was amazing to be a part of and I thought just fantastic for the tournament to have such a close game." said the experienced New Zealand batsman.  

The New Zealanders lost six wickets in quick succession as the Bangladesh bowlers bowled excellently to topple the Kiwis to 238-8. However, the wickets came a bit too late. Mitchell Santner who scored 17 runs off 12 balls took the Kiwis over the line as he hit a boundary through the covers in the 47th over of the match off Mustafizur Rahman.
