Mustafizur Rahman became the fastest bowler from Bangladesh to grab 100 ODI wickets during the World Cup match against Pakistan. He took the wicket of Haris Sohail in the 45th over of the Pakistan innings to reach his 100th at Lord's today.
The left-armer finished with a five-wicket haul – his second in back-to-back matches – to finish second in the top wicket-takers' list at the World Cup with 20 wickets, only behind Mitchell Starc on 24. Fizz also became the fouth fastest to 100 wickets among ODI bowlers, tied with New Zealand's Shane Bond who reached the feat in the same number of matches, 54.
Earlier it was spinner Abdur Razzak, who was the fastest to 100 ODI wickets for Bangladesh. The left-arm spinner had done it in 69 matches.
Afghanistan's Rashid Khan is the fastest to the feat overall with 100 wickets in 44 matches. Mitchell Starc attained the feat in 52 matches, followed by Saqlain Mustaq, who attained the feat in 53 matches.
