Nothing serious about Mash’s niggling injury

Having bowled six overs, conceding 23 runs against India, Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza sat out most of the India innings due to a slight niggle. Shakib Al Hasan captained the side in his stead and Mashrafe did not come out to bat during the Bangladesh innings.

"We had a few niggles, like with Shakib and some pace bowlers so we had enough practice. I also had a hamstring issue, Mustafiurz had a calf issue and Shakib also had a bad back spasm last week. Our top order is scoring some runs and Soumya got a few fifties, hopefully our top order will continue to score," Mashrafe said in post-match ceremony after the 95-run defeat against India in the World Cup warm-up match at Cardiff yesterday.

Upon contacting team sources, it was known that the niggle Mashrafe suffered is not a big concern either for the skipper or for the team management.
