Bangladesh batsman Liton Das said that the Tigers will be playing their World Cup opener against South Africa with the mentality to win when they face the Proteas on June 2 at the Kennington Oval in London.
After the first warm-up match against Pakistan was washed out due to persistent rain in Cardiff on May 26, Bangladesh were handed a 95-run thumping defeat at the hands of India two days later in their final warm-up game at the same venue.

Although Bangladesh had lost their practice match against India, there were some positives to take away from that game ahead of the mega event. Liton, who had a good outing in the warm-up as he scored 73 off 90 balls, said that the Tigers would need to play their best on the day if they hope to start their World Cup campaign with a win.
"Nothing will be easy. South Africa has the bowling attack and the batsmen. They are used to these conditions and it will be challenging for us but it's not like we won't be able to do it. If we play well on that day, then we will win," told Liton to the reporters at the team hotel in London today.
"It's not about this being the first match. Even if it was the last match, we would be thinking of winning because that is what we came here for. So we will play with the mentality to win." concluded Liton.
After reaching London on May 29, Bangladesh are scheduled to practice at the Oval tomorrow at 10:00 am local time.
