915 more tribal refugees back home
A total of 915 tribal refugees of 184 families returned home yesterday, the seventh day in the sixth phase of repatriation from Indian state of Tripura through Ramgarh border point, officials said, reports BSS.
They said with this, 6,739 tribal refugees of 1,347 families returned home in seven days in the current phase of repatriation resumed on January one to be continued till the last refugee returns home.
Eight hundred seventy tribal refugees of 185 families are scheduled to return home today, according to repatriation schedule.
Among today's returnees, 142 families were sent to their abandoned homes in Ramgarh thana, 35 to Matiranga thana, two to Manikchhari thana and five to Mohalchhari thana providing them the package of incentives by government vehicles.
