On the other hand, Bangladesh Civil Service Administration Academy's Deputy Director (Deputy Secretary) Md Shafiur Rahman was appointed as the deputy commissioner of Jamalpur.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued separate circulars in this regard today.
Speaking at an event on Monday, in the presence of local MP Mirza Azam, Jamalpur DC Imran urged people to re-elect the AL government to continue the ongoing development work.
At the same time, he also hoped that MP Azam would be a minister after the polls. The video clip of his speech went viral on social media.
The Election Commission yesterday wrote to the cabinet secretary to take action against him after verifying the authenticity of his speech, where he sought votes for the ruling Awami League.
