Bangladesh Police seeks July uprising photos

Bangladesh Police today called on general public to upload images and video footage captured during the July-August mass movement of 2024 to an official website.

The initiative aims to collect digital evidence of violent incidents, including attacks, killings, and shootings against students and the public during the protests.

The submission window will remain open from February 11 to February 25.

In a post on its verified Facebook page, the police urged citizens to upload images and videos personally taken through their mobile phones or cameras between July 1 and August 5, 2024, to the official 'Andolaner Chobi' website (andolonerchobi.police.gov.bd).

Individuals can upload one still image and one video per hour, with a maximum of five submissions per day using a mobile number. An OTP will be sent to verify each upload. The website allows users to view their uploaded content by logging in with the same mobile number used for submission.

This step is part of ongoing efforts to document and investigate the events of the mass movement.
