Saad followers can hold Ijtema Feb 14-16 on two conditions

The Tabligh Jamaat faction aligned with Maulana Saad Kandhalvi has been allowed to arrange Ijtema at the Tongi ground on February 14-16.
However, a home ministry notification yesterday imposed two conditions upon the faction -- they will not be allowed to arrange Ijtema or participate in any Tabligh activities at the Tongi ground from next year.
Contacted, Abu Sayem, media coordinator of the Saad faction, said, "We have come to know through a notification today [yesterday] that we will not be able to hold Ijtema at this place in Tongi from next year. We received this information at the last minute. For now, we do not want to say anything about it. We will finish this year's Ijtema first then, we will sit with the government and ask why we will not be able to hold Ijtema from next year."
The home ministry notification also said Saad followers must vacate the ground after Maghrib prayers on February 18. The ground will be then handed over to the followers of the Shura-e-Nizam (Maulana Zubair), on February 20.
Meanwhile, the notification said followers of Zubair, who are now holding the second session of the first phase of six-day Ijtema, will have to hand over the Ijtema ground to the administration following the Maghrib prayers tomorrow.
The first session began on January 31 and ended on February 2 with the Akheri Munajat. The Akheri Munajat for the second session will take place today.
