BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir is set to return to Dhaka tomorrow after a one-and-a-half-week visit to London.

Fakhrul is scheduled to arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 11:30am, BNP Media Cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan told The Daily Star.

He travelled to London on December 1 to meet the party's acting chairman, Tarique Rahman, and to arrange medical treatment for his wife, Rahat Ara Begum.

According to party insiders, preparations are underway for BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia to travel to London for medical treatment following Fakhrul's return.
