Russian Deputy FM due today

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory B Karasin arrives in the city today on a two-day official visit, reports UNB.

The Russian Deputy Minister will hold formal talks with the Foreign Secretary today when they will review the entire gamut of bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues of mutual interests.

Karasin is also scheduled to call on the Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and State Minister for Foreign Affairs during his stay. The visit is expected to strengthen the ties between the two countries.

Bangladesh and Russia have an excellent bilateral relation which have its genesis in the Liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971.
