5 killed in Dhaka, Ctg road crashes
Five people were killed and four others injured in separate road accidents in Dhaka and Chittagong today.
In Dhaka, a bus helper was killed as a bus ran over him on a road near the building of Fire Service and Civil Defense in Mirpur-10 around 5:00am, said Nazrul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Mirpur Police Station.
Deceased Rasel, 22, hailed form Rajapur upazila in Jhalakathi.
Officer-in-charge of Mirpur Police Station, Nazrul Islam said the incident took place near the building of Fire Service and Civil Defense round about 5:00am.
Meanwhile, four people were killed and four injured in two separate road accidents in Sitakunda and Hathazari upazilas of Chittagong this morning.
Two motorcyclists Apu Das, 25, Bidyut Das, 27, were killed in Sitakunda while two CNG-run auto-rickshaw passengers -- Rokeya Begum, 40, and an unknown man aged 30 killed in Hathazari, our Chittagong correspondent reports quoting police.
The injured were taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
