A World Cup manual was distributed at the headquarters of The Argentina Football Association (AFA), which included a chapter on how to seduce Russian women. The chapter was titled "What to do to have an opportunity with a Russian woman."
The manual titled "Russian Language and Culture" and written by Russian language teacher Eduardo Pennisi, was distributed to the executives, players, coaches and journalists during a course directed by the author at the AFA headquarters in Buenos Aires on Tuesday.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. According to Clarin -- a newspaper in Argentina, the course was interrupted and the attendants were asked to return the manual, only for it to be returned to them afterwards with the controversial chapter removed from the guide.
"Russian ladies like men who take initiative," read one entry. "If you don't have confidence in yourself then you need to practice speaking with many women."
"Normally, Russian women pay attention to important things, but of course, you will find women who pay attention to material things -- on money, if you are attractive, what you tell them. Do not worry. There are many beautiful women in Russia and not all of them are for you. Be selective," stated another entry in the manual.
Reports by Clarin suggest that Pennisi claimed that it was written without any bad intentions and was also initially approved by AFA.
AFA will be investigating whether the guide had been sabotaged during the printing process, La Nacion reported.
"I'm going to investigate why what happened happened and if someone tried to stain all the work we've been doing," AFA executive Alejandro Taraborrelli told La Nacion.
