Death of Rajib: 2 bus drivers denied bail
A Dhaka court today rejected the bail petitions of two drivers accused in a case filed for killing of Titumir College student Rajib Hossain.
The accused are Wahid Ali, 35, and Khorshed, 50, bus drivers of Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) and Sajan Paribahan.
Rajib lost his hand after it got stuck between two speeding buses of BRTC and Sajan Paribahan trying to overtake each other in the capital's Bangla Motor area on April 3.
Soon after the accident, he was taken to Samorita Hospital in Panthapath and later shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where he passed away on April 17.
The bus drivers were arrested from different areas of Dhaka soon after the incident.
