BNP today demanded immediate deployment of the armed forces to curb the “terror unleashed by ruling party men and police” throughout Bangladesh.
"In arms with the government, the law enforcers and AL men are attacking BNP leaders and supporters,” claimed BNP’s Senior Joint Secretary General Rizvi Ahmed.
“There is no alternative to deploying military to contain the extent of violence," he said while speaking at a briefing organised at BNP’s Nayapaltan headquarters.
"In order to clear the election field with the help of law enforcers, the government is delaying the deployment of army," he added. "I demand army deployment from today to curb election violence and terrorism," Rizvi said.
