HAPPY MOMENT

It was by the fifth ball of the 27th over, being bowled by Mustafizur Rahman, in yesterday's World Cup encounter between Bangladesh and England that opener Jason Roy was just four runs away from his ninth ODI century and also his maiden hundred in the tournament. The right-hander pulled a short pitch Mustafizur delivery and, courtesy of some sloppy fielding from Mohammad Mithun, the ball raced towards the boundary. Roy was about to begin celebrating but in his excitement ended up in a face to face collision with West Indian umpire Joel Wilson which brought him to the ground. Wilson was soon back on his feet while everyone present had a good laugh over the incident. However, Roy seemed more determined than ever after reaching his century, going on to strike three consecutive sixes off Mehedi Hasan Miraz before eventually departing on a brilliant 121-ball 153, laced with 14 fours and five sixes. Riding on Roy's blistering ton, England managed to post a huge 386 for six.
