The rivalry between India and Pakistan bears a special significance, considering how enthusiastic fans of both teams get whenever the two face each other on a cricket field. However, their rivalry on the field carries more of a sporting vibe, which was evident in the players’ actions from both teams during their ICC World Cup encounter yesterday. An instance occurred where India captain Virat Kohli and Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir exchanged words with a smile on their faces. Kohli was eventually given out when he tried to play pull one off a short-pitched delivery from Amir, but replays showed that there was no deflection off the bat, however, Kohli walked off the field without even reviewing the decision. Watching the replays, though, the India captain, known as a perfectionist, regretted his decision of not reviewing the decision. He was seen checking the willow, and getting it checked by his teammates, to see how he had duped himself into thinking he had knicked off.
