Dropping anchor at last

Marking Mujib Borsho, the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her government undertook the world's largest housing plan for the homeless. The project Ashrayan, under direct supervision of the Prime Minister's Office, constructed 66,189 houses. Visiting Narayanganj, Habiganj, Kishoreganj, and Brahmanbaria districts, The Daily Star captured the moments of happiness of the beneficiaries of the project. Many were happy to show the title deeds they received while others were seen busy making the houses their homes by planting trees and vegetables and flower plants.
