Elephant found dead in Cox’s Bazar forest
An elephant was found dead in Eidgah area of Cox's Bazar today.
Touhidul Islam, divisional forest officer of Cox's Bazar Forest Division (North), told The Daily Star that the female elephant, aged around 30, might have fallen from (25-ft height) nearby hill.
The elephant fell on a concrete road inside the reserve forest, our Chattogram staff correspondent reports quoting the forest division official.
The elephant was buried inside the forest this noon, he added.
