Afghanistan names Law as interim coach ahead of Bangladesh tour
Former Australian cricketer Stuart Law has been named as the interim head coach of the Afghanistan cricket team, ahead of their white-ball series against hosts Bangladesh, scheduled to begin in Chattogram on February 23.
The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) announced yesterday that the former Australian batter and former batting consultant of the Aussies will take over from Lance Klusener and guide the team in Bangladesh. Law has already reached Bangladesh, according to the ACB
Law was the head coach of the Tigers for a brief period of nine months during 2011-12 and went on to serve as technical advisor to the Bangladesh Under-19 side at the 2016 U-19 World Cup, after which the Australian had coached the West Indies.
This is not the first interim assignment for Law, having coached Sri Lanka back in 2011.
