22 univs go for integrated admission tests
Twenty-two public universities, including two new ones, have decided to hold integrated admission tests for 2021-22 academic session.
Students of science will sit for admission tests on July 30, humanities on August 13 and business on August 20.
Prof Sadequl Arefin, vice-chancellor of University of Barishal, confirmed it to The Daily Star yesterday afternoon.
The decision of integrated admission tests came at a meeting of the university authorities on Monday night, he said.
Besides, the students will be allowed to migrate to their desired universities, he added.
At the meeting, the authorities also decided to increase the admission fees from Tk 1,200 to Tk 1,500.
Asked, Prof Sadequl said the decision was made as the price of paper and other materials increased.
The universities that agreed to hold integrated admission tests are Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University, Kishoreganj; Chandpur Science and Technology University; Jagannath University; Islamic University, Kushtia; Khulna University; Comilla University; Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University; Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur; University of Barisal; Rabindra University, Shahzadpur; Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University; Sheikh Hasina University, Netrakona; Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet; Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University, Dinajpur; Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University, Tangail; Noakhali Science and Technology University; Jashore University of Science and Technology; Pabna University of Science and Technology; Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University, Gopalganj; Rangamati Science and Technology University; Bangamata Sheikh Fojilatunnesa Mujib Science and Technology University, Jamalpur; and Patuakhali Science and Technology University.
