Mustafizur, Shoriful strike early
After a splendid batting display, Bangladesh got off to flying start with the ball as well in their first ODI of the three-match series against hosts Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club today.
Defending a mammoth 304-run target, left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman gave the Tigers their first breakthrough in the very first over of the game. Mustafizur had Zimbabwe skipper Regis Chakabva drag one onto his stumps in the final delivery of the over, ending that as wicket-maiden.
Another left-arm pacer Shoriful Islam struck in the very next over when he removed Tarisai Musakanda. Musakanda was to be blamed for his own downfall as he gave a catch to fileder at cover while trying to force a shot.
After five overs, Zimbabwe were 24 for two.
