Record 14,932MW electricity generated

The Bangladesh Power Development Board produced record 14,932MW electricity in a day till 9:00pm (peak hour) yesterday.

The previous record was made on Tuesday by generating 14,800MW, according to a press release of PDB.

The last record of producing 14,782MW was generated on April 16 last year.

Officials said that due to the increasing temperature since early this month, the demand of electricity is increasing every day and the production is increasing as well.

Yesterday, the highest temperature recorded in Chuadanga at 39.6ºC by the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
