Record electricity generated 3 days in a row
The country has generated record 15,304 megawatts of electricity at 9:00pm tonight.
The production broke the previous record of 14,932MW generated yesterday, according to Bangladesh Power Development Board.
On Tuesday, PBD generated record 14,800MW electricity.
The increase in power generation is due to the rise in demand for electricity over the last few days with the rise in temperature, according to the PDB officials.
Today, the highest temperature was recorded in Chuadanga at 41 degree Celsius, says the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
