Slow loris rescued in Bandarban
A slow loris, locally known as "Lojjaboti Banor", was rescued from a village in Bandarban's Sadar upazila this morning.
Abhijit Kumar Barua, Sadar Range Officer of Bandarban's Pulpwood Forest Department confirmed the development, reports our local correspondent.
"On May 1, some residents of Ujivitar Para village of Sadar union under the upazila spotted the wild animal in a nearby forest. It was later caught by the villagers. They later informed the Pulpwood Forest Department, which rescued the wild animal around 9:00am today."
The Slow loris will be handed over to Cox's Bazar's Bangabandhu Safari Park authorities by this afternoon, he added.
